Porta Biciclette (Window Bike)

What the...?

I'll be the first to admit that it's difficult to find places to store bikes (I have six...three are parked in my living room; one hangs from the ceiling on a bicycle pulley system). But I have to admit I've never seen anyone hang a bike out a window...pretty ingenious.

Great until it slips from your fingers one day! Ooops sorry... or there is a really windy day. Fun picture.

6 bicycles? Urban Complexity! :-)

Yup Jeff, 6 bikes...but I should qualify that statement: only 3 (the three in my living room) are really in use. The Yuba, which I use to haul stuff, the "Mule" (an old Trek I picked up at a flea market for 40 bucks), which is mainly my winter bike, and the Dahon folder (the one hanging from the ceiling), which I use to zip around town on or take on the bus or subway. These 3 bikes all serve different purposes and enable me to leave my vehicle parked for sometime weeks without starting it. The other 3 are in the basement: my son's bike which he has out grown, and an old Raleigh sprite. These two are going to be donated to Buffalo Blue bike. The last is a tandem that I'm not sure what I'm going to do with. Of the 6 only the Yuba and Dahon were purchased new...I can't help myself when I see a good bike for cheap at a yard sale or flea market...they seem to cycle (pun intended) in and out of my life.

Thanks for reading and posting.

Hey, Joe...you know I was just joking. :-)

I myself maintain 10 bicycles....but I have 5 children and so there are always a few that they have not yet grown into.

Take care and stay warm!
