Pile O' Bikes

I came across this chained up pile of bike frames today on Allen Street. It was just outside this bike shop...I'm not sure if it's a bunch of bikes that have been stripped and vandalized, or if it's some sort of a bike-sculpture-art-thing

Sad. I hope they don't end up in landfill like the majority of bikes that only do a few tens of miles then hit the dumpster... (info the great - Sheldon Brown)

I got back into cycling after pulling a bike very much like those out of the bushes in a drainage ditch infront of my house. The wheels had been kicked in, the gears bent, the tyres slashed... I spent a little time and did about 500 miles on that bike.

Hope they go to a good home...
