April is National Distracted Driver Awareness Month

I just read at the site of The League of American Cyclists that the U.S. House of Representatives has passed a bill stating that April is National Distracted Driving Awareness Month...an excellent move, no doubt. According to the website of CBS News, more than 6000 people were killed in 2009 by distracted drivers. Let's hope it makes a difference. for a society to accept 6000 deaths a year due to 'distraction' is disturbing.
