Enough Said...

OK, a couple things. Firstly, this saying is dated by a couple of years (I think), but it's still more relevant than ever. Click here to see more. That is not my bike or my sign; I found the image here. And also, this is not the sole reason I ride, but it is one reason. If you'd like to see a more accurate reason I ride bikes most of the time watch this short video.

"Enough said . . ."

A bushel of corn (bicycle fuel) is a gallon of petrochemicals. I'm afraid there's a lot more to be said if one is to understand the issues; and thus possible solutions.

A bushel of corn is a lot of corn (ie, a lot of bicycle fuel)...but I still agree with you (to a certain extent).

A gallon of petrochemicals is a lot of petrochemicals. Enough to propel you via ICE from NYC to SF, if you are willing to restrict your speed to Lance Armstrong levels and forgo "climate control," as it were.

Still, my point isn't to negate yours but to provoke thought further down the rabbit hole than those simply seeking a lifestyle that makes them feel good about themselves might be comfortable with.

KFG,

I don't think you negated my point...I'm not sure what my point really is/was. I mostly ride my bikes because I like the feel of it (and it saves me a few dollars); my views are more clearly expressed in the linked video. Sometimes my lifestyle does make me feel good about myself, but sometimes it doesn't. Then other times I don't even notice. I enjoy your insight; thanks for reading and taking the time to comment.
