Reassessing. Questioning. Rethinking.
So first of all I have to say thank you. Thank you for sticking with me. It's been six days since my last post (one of the longest absences since I began this blog seven years ago), but still people are visiting. Thank you. But I will be a bit longer. I'm actually going to take a two week sabbatical from blogging, Facebook, etc. Sometimes I need to. Sometimes life gets in the way of things. I began this blog with the intention of living a simpler life (click here to read the very first entree), and in many ways I have, but in many ways things have become more complicated...constant busy. And I'm going through some other things as well. I chose this time to take a brief break because in a couple days I will begin a very busy time at my full time job as chef (opposed to my many other hats I wear on the side). Monday will begin a nearly three-week stretch of non-stop work; my next day off will be Good Friday. Thus, I thought this was a good time. But it's not just that. Since beginning this blog I personally have changed (hopefully evolved some), so of course what I want to blog about has as well, so this is also something I'll be rethinking...the direction and focus of this blog in the future. This said, in the next couple (or few) weeks I will likely find myself pretty stressed. Going inward and "plugging in" to the Divine is what will keep me at least a little sane. There is so much good in this world and in my life that focusing on that rather than the negative can be a life preserver for me. Anyhow, thanks again for sticking with me. I'll be back in a couple weeks. Peace.
